Executive Director Suzanne Becker to Retire
Feed My People's Executive Director, Suzanne Becker, will be retiring. She will officially step down...
Join us in feeding kids, families, and seniors in need this summer!
While many of us are enjoying vacation time and fun in the sun, far too many in our community are worried about where their next meal is coming from. Recovery has been slow for our most vulnerable neighbors, especially for women with children and those who have experienced employment disruption. Hunger is a real hurdle for families any time of the year, but summer is especially difficult when school is out and budgets are stretched thinner than ever.
Between July 7 and 23, join Feed My People in raising funds to rush food to families that need it. Our second annual Operation Picnic summer hunger campaign is gearing up to raise enough money to provide groceries for 100,000 meals to our neighbors facing hunger in west central Wisconsin.
Thanks to our generous community match sponsors, every dollar up to $12,500 will be doubled. This translates into eight meals provided for every dollar donated. Your financial support will help. Consider a gift - any time before noon on July 23 - and see it go twice as far thanks to matching gifts.
Staff and volunteers at Feed My People have been packing emergency food bags and backpack meals, repacking fresh produce, and getting it all out the doors to over 200 hunger-relief organizations throughout west central Wisconsin. An especially crucial program has been our Pop-Up Pantries, which is a targeted distribution getting groceries where they are needed most, especially in underserved, rural areas. Funds raised will go towards this Pop-Up program and our partner hunger-relief organizations including food pantries and meal sites.
