You CAN make a difference this winter!

This winter roll up your sleeves and try out one of Feed My People Food Banks' volunteer roles. FMP volunteers help sort, pack, and distribute food in order to help FMP continue to serve 14 counties and distribute over 5 million meals per year. As the need in the community grows FMP continues to be able to support the community with the help of volunteers just like you. If you are a current volunteer or a new volunteer looking for how to help out your community this winter here is a list of FMPs winter volunteer opportunities!

  1. Show how you CAN make a difference at a Community Action Night. We welcome the community in joining us for an evening of repacking cereal for our hunger relief partners across west central Wisconsin including school pantries, Pop-Up distribution programs, and meal sites. Our agencies are in need of repacked cereal and other food for families, and with your help, we can get it ready for immediate distribution.
  2.  Roll up your sleeves in the warehouse order picking.  Warehouse Order Pickers locate and stage food orders onto pallets to get them ready for partner program delivery or pick-up. Must be willing to lift 40 lbs and operate a pallet jack.
  3. Help out around the warehouse in the project area. Work in our Project Area, outside of the Clean Room, working on the current projects needed for production. This could be repacking bulk foods, bagging up Emergency bags, Ready to Eat bags, or other small projects.
  4. Clean Room Repacking. Repacking bulk foods, usually cereal, into smaller-sized bags. Great opportunity for companies or individuals to volunteer.
  5. Grab a group of friends and volunteer as a group. Help out around the warehouse, the clean room, or in the community! If you would like to sign up with a group of 6 or more, please contact Ken at ken@fmpfoodbank.org before registering.
