Executive Director Suzanne Becker to Retire
Feed My People's Executive Director, Suzanne Becker, will be retiring. She will officially step down...
Feed My People (FMP) is celebrating its 40th anniversary of working alongside our community to ensure no one goes hungry. To help continue and strengthen its legacy of service, FMP is pleased to announce that this year will also mark the expansion of its building to create a Hunger Action Center. This 3600 square foot addition will provide capacity for programming to address root causes of food insecurity with a goal of shortening the hunger line in our community.
"As Feed My People's current executive director, I know we have remained strong as an organization these past four decades because of the commitment of our supporters who are dedicated to helping all those who have stood in our lines," said Nancy Renkes. "Now, we're taking steps today to ensure we remain strong and viable in the next 40."
The new Hunger Action Center will be utilized for programming dedicated to understanding and addressing root causes of food insecurity stemming from barriers in health, finances, and housing. This aligns with FMP's mission to increase food access, promote inclusion internally and externally, and focus on health.
2022 will also mark a year of gratitude for all those who have helped make FMP possible and supported its mission to feed all those experiencing food insecurity within our 14-county service area: its founding churches, past and present board members, hunger-relief partners and programs, volunteers, and donors.
The building expansion is projected to break ground this summer with completion anticipated in fall 2022.
Together, we're feeding healthy futures!
