Executive Director Suzanne Becker to Retire
Feed My People's Executive Director, Suzanne Becker, will be retiring. She will officially step down...
From February 9 to 16, you can make twice the difference for children and teenagers facing hunger during our FEED the Love campaign. Donate today and double your impact.
Last year, Feed My People launched Project FEED, our youth hunger initiative, to deepen and expand food resources for children in need across our service area. Too often, kids don't have enough to eat at home, but the rollout of programs like school markets offering kids the opportunity to take home food for their families is changing that.
You can help keep the momentum going this year so more kids have greater access to food and can focus on learning instead of worrying about where their next meal will come from.
Starting today, Otto Bremer Trust is doubling every gift to Feed My People up to $50,000. Your gift made during this limited-time matching opportunity will help provide twice as many nutritious meals and strengthen programs to reach every kid in need in West Central Wisconsin.
Feed My People is also opening its doors to the public on Valentine's Day, February 14, for an open house from 10 am to 12 pm. There will be tours and light refreshments. Everyone is welcome, and no RSVP is required.
There will also be a volunteer Pack-a-Thon event happening on the same day for one day of great impact. Volunteers will help pack food for Project FEED programs. There are shifts still available, and you may sign up as an individual or with a group from 8-10 am, 10 am-12 pm, or 12-2 pm. Register to volunteer.
Also occurring during the FEED the Love campaign is a new opportunity called Volun-Beer. This 21+ ticketed event invites folks to come out to the food bank on February 13 from 4-6:30 pm for a power hour of volunteering followed by a beer tasting hosted by The Brewing Projekt. Tickets are $30 and there is a $5 discount for young professionals ages 21-40. All ticket proceeds go towards Project FEED. Purchase tickets.
