The Kitchen Sink Podcast

Hunger is messy. It takes all of us to do the dishes.

Food is something that brings us all together.

Conversation begins at the table, but the real conversation moves after the meal to the kitchen sink. Feed My People's The Kitchen Sink podcast began in 2024 and is gathering stories from our community and beyond about what brings us all to the messy kitchen sink after a good meal. The more dishes in the sink, the more people were fed.

Episode 2 • February 16, 2024

Brit and Susie with Feed My People bring on Dani Graham to talk about the Feed the Love project that has been going on in February.  Dani handles a few different tasks with the school district and this includes working with students dealing with a homeless situation. She also works with foster care families.

We learn about the connection between the food bank and theschool community. Almost 40% of the district's student body qualifies for discounted lunch. The school educates families on opportunities the food bank has. They partner on the Weekend Kids' Meals program that provides food to students over the weekend.
